With the August primary coming up, it can be difficult to really get a grasp of the candidates on the ballot.

That’s why BridgeDetroit is launching an initiative to reach out to candidates in Wayne County representing Detroit from the congressional level down to county courts, and ask them about the key policies they support.

But an essential part of that process is our readers. We want to field questions about the candidates from you.

BridgeDetroit is aiming to give you direct access to your government. We want you to have the chance to ask about the issues that are important to you.

If there’s an upcoming race that you’re interested in, feel free to fill out this form, and we’ll do our best to get a list of questions from you to the candidates.

Once we’ve got your questions, we’ll compile them, send them off to candidates and create Q&As so you can get a better sense of what those running to represent you believe in.

  1. I would like to tell our local and state lawmakers to focus on the agenda and campaign on what the average Joe and Joanna need, and not focus on what Thump is so much, people wants to know that their candidate has their backs, and Kamala Harris needs to come out more forceful, she sounds like, a mom telling her kids to get in a corner for a time out, she needs to stand up and raise her voice, I myself tunes her out because she is not powerful enough, she needs someone to get her more engaged

  2. Abandoned houses the owner needs to keep Them up and fix the fences at a property. I am having a hard time.
The owner next to me. Said she was going to take care of the problem and she didn’t. Her fence is on my property.
