As a reader of BridgeDetroit, you’re already familiar with our work. You know that our reporting keeps you informed on the issues that matter most. Important stories that affect us can break at any time. This is why we invite you to participate in our community town hall meetings, reader gatherings and other events to learn from you and then inform our city about what’s happening in Detroit.

I’m reaching out to you today to ask for your help with our summer membership campaign. The funds we raise over the next few days will help power the game-changing work our reporters and community engagement staff produce all year long. Donations of any amount make a huge difference to our nonprofit newsroom.

We’ve got a lot planned for the rest of summer and 2022, which your donation could make possible, including:

  • Voter guides for the 2022 elections
  • Give our reporting team resources to continue delivering us watchdog journalism about city hall, housing, business, elections, and beyond
  • Providing more meaningful and impactful community engagement opportunities
  • Help us to continue to expand our reporting capabilities

We’re honored to produce journalism that shapes Detroit and is a resource to the people who live in it, but we can’t do it alone. Bridge Detroit exists because of readers like you.  This summer we’re asking you to start with a gift of $5–put 5 on it to support civic journalism and engagement.

Will you put $5 on it and help BridgeDetroit reach its full potential?

Yes, I got $5 (or more) on it!

We appreciate you and your readership.
