As we reach the end of 2022, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the stories and projects that had the biggest impact on our residents and supporters this year. In particular, we’re proud of our work to empower readers, like our series of townhall meetings in each city district this summer, which help community members create an active, engaged Detroit.
This is just one example of the kind of work you’ve come to expect from us. Our reporting is independent, inclusive, and in-depth. Best of all, it’s community driven and community funded. In other words, we wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for you.
Our community engagement events, stories, and videos cost thousands of dollars and countless hours to produce but it’s worth it. These stories need to be told. And you can help us continue to do this important work.
From now until December 31, NewsMatch DEI Partner Fund will match your new monthly donation 12 times or double your one-time gift! For a nonprofit like us, this is a big deal. Your generous donations will help sustain our journalism through 2023 and beyond. This bonus was made possible with support from Knight Foundation and the Heising-Simons Foundation.
And that’s not all. If BridgeDetroit receives donations from 100 new donors between now and December 31, we will receive $1,000 from Newsmatch, a collaborative fundraising movement to support independent, public service journalism like ours!
Will you support independent journalism that works for you and for Detroit?
Your gift of any amount sustains our team and our reporting.
Thank you for your trust and support, and happy holidays. We are so grateful for you!
