The fabled entertainment and business district of old Detroit was on full display Saturday for the Wolverine Bar Foundation’s 62nd Barristers’ Ball.
The event, “Motown: Back Down Memory Lane,” at the Marriott Renaissance Center, featured a Motown-style paparazzi red carpet experience, live music from DJ Envy as well DJ Gary Chandler and DJ Snake and other features.

The annual event is a party with a purpose: Proceeds from the Barristers’ Ball support the Wolverine Bar Associations’ and Wolverine Bar Foundation programming in support of Black law student externships, internships, scholarships, education courses, and mentoring; as well as, legal information, and representation for the underrepresented.
