September is National Hunger Action Month, a time to raise awareness about hunger and inspire action to end food insecurity in the U.S. Host Stephen Henderson sits down with Forgotten Harvest President & CEO Adrian Lewis to talk about how the nonprofit helps fight hunger and food insecurity by rescuing surplus food and distributing it to local charities that feed the community.
Lewis also talks about the challenges his organization faces keeping up with the demand, including receiving less surplus food and rising operating costs. He also describes some of the innovative programs Forgotten Harvest has designed to expand its reach and impact.
