Over the summer, BridgeDetroit set a fundraising goal to help us print a second locally-focused news magazine aimed at reaching disconnected Detroiters. We want to make sure that residents of this city who do not have high-speed internet access or the ability to get our website and newsletters are not left without information.

We turned to our readers for help. And we’re proud to say the second issue of the BridgeDetroit magazine is here!

A lot of them are here…

Our next task is to get these magazines out into the community! We’ve delivered to some of our partners, including Triumph Church and Dream of Detroit. We also have copies available at the main branch of the Detroit Public Library, Clark Park and other locations like Shears and Shaves and Prime Financial Plus Realty on the Avenue of Fashion, Church of the Messiah and Dominican Literacy Center.

We’d love to bring copies to you or provide them to you at our office in the Chroma Building in Detroit’s North End. Do you have a business or are you part of a block club, church group or other community collective? Would you be willing to help share this issue with friends, family and neighbors?

Please reach out to Engagement Editor Bryce Huffman at bhuffman@bridgedetroit.com or call us at ‪(313) 284-6407‬ to request copies.

Now that we’ve gotten them, we will continue to drop them off to library branches, schools and other locations across the city.

We’ll also be at some events and hosting our own Refugee Resources event on Oct. 16, where we’ll hand out copies of the magazine and our nonpartisan voter guides. If you’d like to register for the resource fair, go to the Eventbrite page.

Thank you for supporting BridgeDetroit. We are proud to be here for you.

Sincerely,

Laurén Abdel-Razzaq
