Detroit icons, celebrities, state officials and Ford Motor Co. executives will join forces Thursday night for a concert to celebrate the reopening of the Michigan Central Station.

”Live From Detroit: The Concert at Michigan Central” is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m.

Co-produced by Eminem, the concert and program is expected to feature Diana Ross, Big Sean, Common, Illa J, Melissa Etheridge, Slum Village and more.

Tickets to the celebration sold out quickly, but the 90-program will stream live on Peacock, NBC’s online video platform. You’ll need a subscription to watch through the Peacock app.

In the Detroit area, WDIV-TV (Channel 4) will also air the concert, including a pre-show at 8 p.m. You can watch there, or on WDIV’s free Local 4+ app

Once a symbol of urban decay in Detroit, the long-vacant train station was restored by Ford, which will use it as a centerpiece for what the company is calling a technology and cultural hub in the Corktown neighborhood.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, along with Ford Executive Chair Bill Ford and CEO Jim Farley, are also expected at the Thursday night event.
